Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel, Musanze

The Hotel was named after the five volcanic Virunga peaks that lie partly within Rwanda; this well-run boutique lodge is a popular base with luxurious gorilla trekking tours. It has a convenient location on the northern borders of Musanze, alongside the major road to Volcanoes National Park. Wilderness Bisate Lodge

One and Only Nyungwe House, Nyungwe National Park

Nyungwe House is located in the southwestern part of Rwanda, it is a magnificent house surrounded by exhilarating mountain rainforests. This is a five-star cabin lodge in Nyungwe National Park. This is the only accommodation that seems to be set and attached inside Nyungwe because there is nothing between the lodge and Nyungwe forest.  The services here are incomparable and the nature & view of Nyungwe monkeys are sometimes around. The lodge is situated in the highlands of the Virunga’s, the chain of 15,000-foot volcanoes strains through Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The lodge has a magnificent view of the volcanoes and the surrounding countryside. Guest cottages and the main lodge building have been well-built and attractively decorated; the lodge is the perfect base from which to explore this exhilarating corner of Africa.

The lodge is only minutes away from the Volcano National Park from where you can trek and see the most fascinating Mountain Gorilla, possibly one of the most dramatic, exciting and poignant wildlife experiences possible. There are, however, multiple other excursions on offer, including treks to see the remarkable and joyful Golden Monkeys which are found in the bamboo forests on the slopes of the Virunga Mountains and provide amazing viewing as they soar from tree to tree and jump in the open clearings of the forest.
