Half of the year Safaris : We are ending the month of June, the 6th month of the year. This means we are ending the first half of the year and entering the second half of the year. Well if you are like us, you want to celebrate making it to the half of the year and refreshing to start the second half the year in full swing. And if that you we got you covered.

The way we celebrate is go out to the wild or find time to experience nature at its best, that why we have a suggestion of six Uganda safaris you can have for the half of year.
Primate safaris
These are some most adventurous and most refreshing safaris you will have. First primates are like humans so it will be interesting spending time with them but also primates stay in forest, so to get to them you have to trek deep into the forest before you can find them which is an adventure of itself. Primate safaris in Uganda are done all year round in Bwindi National Park an Mgahinga National Park for mountain gorillas, Mgahinga national park for golden monkey, Kibale National Park, Budongo forest and Kyambura gorge for chimpanzees.

Depending on your primate of interest you can choose the park you would want to visit or if you are in for a primate spree you can rotate through all the parks – the choice is yours.
Savannah Wildlife safaris
If primates are not your animals you can have a savannah wildlife safari. Here you get to see most of the wild animals in the savannah territories. These animals include but are not limited to lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, topis, kobs, antelopes and many more. Uganda has over 10 savannah wildlife parks and you can choose to visit all or some or one of them to have your amazing safari. Some of the most popular savannah wildlife places are Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchsion Falls National Park, Kidepo National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Semiliki Park, Pian Upe game reserve and many more.
Hiking safaris
If you want to challenge your body, or even if getting high to heights, hiking should be a thing you plan to do on this half year. Hiking safaris in Uganda like other safaris are done all year round, however you have to book in advance to be placed in a group for a particular date – this is mostly for the Rwenzori and Elgon mountains.
Hiking safaris in Uganda mainly take place in the Rwenzori Mountains, Elgon mountians, the Virunga mountians – that is muhavura, sabinyo and mgahinga.
These safaris are usually one to ten days depending on the place you are hiking.
Birding and Nature safaris
Sometimes you really don’t want to see the big animals, you just want to see the little birds hear them sing away in the forest and vegetation. So if you are such a one, Uganda birding safaris would be the best for you.

Nature safaris were not so popular in the previous years but have now become a thing for people who are not into adventure but would like to experience the wild. On nature safaris, people take walks in the flora and landscape to just enjoy nature.
People take birding and nature safaris always almost together.
These kind of Uganda safaris are most enjoyed in Lake Mburo National Park, Bwindi National Park, Mgahinga National Park, Mabira forest among other places.
Those are the top five safaris we feel you can take but there more safaris like community tours, water adventures, road trip safaris and many more that you can take for your half of the year.
