National Parks to visit this Easter season: The Easter season is a time of the year Christ faithfuls celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, through different activities that include religious celebrations, family gatherings and safaris to the wild among other activities. Last year 2020 however the Easter celebrations were different from the usual as almost the entire world was in a total lockdown because of the Covid19 pandemic. 

National Parks to visit this Easter season

This year, the good news is, most interactions are returning back to normal and Easter celebrations can go on as they used to be. It’s for that reason that we want to make a few suggestions of the some of the amazing National parks in Uganda you should plan to visit during this Easter season. 

It’s important to note though all the National parks in Uganda are equally unique and amazing and a visit to any of them will give you a delightful and memorable experience; the Easter season will last for four days so the suggestions made are based on the parks you can visit and enjoy in just four days. Also since all entrance fees are discounted in these parks we think this would be a great season for you to visit any of these Uganda Nationl Parks, these parks include:- 

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

A visit to Bwindi National Park, this Easter, will be mainly for mountain gorilla trekking and this is the best season to have your mountain gorilla trekking experience as the mountain gorilla trekking permits are still on a discount. Well when you visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a mountain gorilla trekking experience you will enjoy exploring the impenetrable Bwindi forest as you search for the mountain gorillas and mountain gorillas when you find them. 

A trip to Bwindi National Park can fit well in the four days of the Easter season, You can travel to Bwindi on Friday, trek on Saturday and return to your home on Sunday saving Easter Monday for a well needed rest. 

Kibale National Park

If you want to have fun with the chimpanzees during the Easter season you can have a trip to Kibale National Park where you will enjoy a chimpanzee trekking experience. Just like it’s the case for mountain gorilla trekking permits the chimpanzee trekking permits are also on a discount this season so this would be the perfect time for you take the chimpanzee trekking trip. 

On your visit to the National Park you will enjoy venturing into the kibale rain forest and the presence of the famous chimpanzees. You will also have an opportunity to enjoy birding in the bigodi swamps. This trip can be done in 3 days thus it fits perfectly in the Easter holiday. 

Lake Mburo National Park

A visit to this park is perfect for this season as it can be done in 2 days. Lake Mburo National Park is very close to Kampala city compared to other National parks, so you can be at the park in about 2 to 3 hours. 

When you visit the park you will enjoy activities like game drives, game drives, nature walks and community tours. 

During this Easter season, you can visit this park for two days and use the other two days for resting.

Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park is the largest and oldest national park in Uganda and is famous for the Murchison falls. A visit to the Murchison Falls National Park will give you an opportunity to view an array of wildlife, unique vegetation and the murchison falls. 

You can have a 3 or 4 day visit to Murchison Falls National Park depending on your preference but it still fits in the Easter season. On your visit to the park you will enjoy activities like game drives, bird watching, boat rides, top of the falls experience and many more. 

Queen Elizabeth National Park 

The most famous and most visited National Park in Uganda can be a perfect getaway for you in this Easter season. At the park you will enjoy game drives, bird watching, boat rides, nature walks and many other amazing activities. 

In Queen Elizabeth National Park you can also have a lion tracking experience to see the unique and famous tree climbing lions. A visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park can be a 3 days or 4 days visit which fits well in the Easter season break.
