October trips : October is one of those months, everyone is excited about Uganda; it’s the month Uganda celebrates her independence. Every year on October 9th, since 1962 Uganda celebrates her independence from Britain in elaborate functions held all over the country. These events start as early as 1st October and last till the end of the month; the state celebratory function however is held only on 9th to commemorate the milestone.

Most of the other events that celebrate Independence Day include music concerts, theatre shows, goat races, road trips and most of all safari trips. October safari trips are the most common independence celebration activities as people tour the country to enjoy the incredible beauty of the pearl of Africa.

 3 days Mountain gorilla trekking

The 3 days mountain gorilla trekking experience, will take you to south western Uganda to either Bwindi National Park or Mgahinga National Park where you will trek the famous mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. Mountain gorilla trekking is a one day experience so you will you the two days to travel to and from to Kampala as Kampala is 9 to 10 hours from the mountain gorilla parks. Mountain gorillas are the most sought after tourist attractions in Uganda so to have a mountain gorilla trip in October will be a great experience for you. 3 days chimpanzee trekking

The 3 days chimpanzee trekking is an experience that will take you to the primate capital in kibale National park to trek the famous chimpanzees. The Kibale rain forest has the highest number of chimpanzees in East Africa, so it’s only fair that this October you take a trip to this chimpanzee hub to experience the many chimpanzees in the area. Chimpanzee trekking takes about 4 to 6 hours so the other two days of the trip can be used to for travel, bird watching and exploring the Tooro region.

3 days Queen Elizabeth experience

The 3 days Queen Elizabeth experience, with give you a chance to tour the most famous national park in Uganda; Queen Elizabeth National Park. A trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park will give you a chance to enjoy wildlife at its best and boat rides on the kazinga channel. Animals you will see at the park include the tree climbing lions, the Uganda kobs, African buffalos, leopards, elephants and many more. The 5 days road trip and semi-arid safari is trip to Northern Uganda to Kidepo National Park. It’s a road trip because of the travel time to and from Kidepo. This park is the furthest from Uganda’s capital and may take you 10 to 12 hours to get to the park hence the road trip. While at Kidepo you will enjoy the diversity of the wildlife and the semi-arid area plus the Ike community. This park is also a great get away for those who are big on privacy.
