Places to visit this October : October is one of the most significant months in Uganda. This is the month the country celebrates its independence; and because of that very important day, there is need for celebration. Many people celebrate independence differently, some sit at home and tell stories about the history of the country, and others attend the state organized events to celebrate the day and travel enthusiasts’ transverse the land to enjoy the beauty of the land.

Well this article is for the travel lovers, this October these are the places we recommend you visit, whether you celebrating the national Independence Day with the country or you are just enjoying the country’s beauty, don’t miss out on these places.
- Bwindi National Park
Bwindi National Park is the home of the endangered mountain gorillas; a visit to the park will give a golden chance to encounter the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. In Bwindi you will trek the mountainous forest for about four hours until you find the gorillas and when you find them you will spend an hour with them enjoying their company. After that you will exit the forest and head back to your accommodation. The mountain gorilla trekking activity in Bwindi takes about 5 to 9 hours depending on the sector you are trekking and how far the mountain gorillas are into the forest.
You should remember that in this COVID-19 season, you will need to have a negative PCR test certificate for you to be allowed to trek. And if you feel ill or show signs of illness, you will not be allowed to trek.
- Queen Elizabeth National Park
This is the most famous park in the country, so visiting this park is a no brainer. On a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park you will enjoy the beautiful scenery in the park, the waters and of course the wildlife that has animals like the tree climbing lions, lions, elephants, leopards, kobs, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, waterbucks and many more. The top most activities done in this park include but not limited to game drives, boat rides, bird watching, nature walks, forest walks and primate trekking in Kyambura gorge. So on your visit to the park you will be delighted to take part in some or all these activities.

- Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison falls National Park is the biggest and oldest national park in Uganda to visit while on Uganda Safaris Tours. The park is home to over 600 mammal species, 1000 bird species and of course the Murchison falls from which the park gets its name. A visit to this park will give you a chance to explore the numerous mammals in the park through game drives, go bird watching in the park’s terrains, take a boat ride on the Nile river, explore the Murchison falls on the top of the falls hike among the many exciting things to do in the park.
This park is in close proxy with Zziwa Rhino sanctuary and Budongo forest, so you can actually combine your visit to the park with a visit to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a Rhino tracking experience and a visit to Budongo forest for a chimpanzee trekking experience.

- Kibale National Park
If you are into primates, Kibale National park is the place for you. The park is home to over 13 primate species including the famous chimpanzees. A visit to Kibale National Park will give you the chance to enjoy the company of the chimpanzees on a chimpanzee trekking experience, go bird watching in the Bigodi swamps, and take forest walks to enjoy the diversity of the Kibale forest among other things.
Like for the mountain gorillas you will need a negative PCR test for you to be allowed to trek chimpanzees.
