The 3rd of June is a public holiday in Uganda, celebrating the Uganda martyrs that were killed in the 19th century for their faith in the Lord. Celebrating this day has always been a religious event with over 1000s of people walking to the Namugongo shrine to remember the famous martyrs that died for their faith.
Well last year 2020 was the first year 3rd June was not celebrated with the pilgrimages and huge services as it has been the norm because of the COVID19 pandemic that had marred the entire world and caused countries to lockdown and shut down gatherings.
This year 2021, as we are all adapting to life with the Covid19 virus, we have been able to continue our normal life operations as we observe the different recommended sops. Several people in the population have gotten vaccinated which has greatly help some individuals.
Because of all these measures people have been able to explore the pearl of Africa and experience its beauty and engage in different activities in the various parts of the nation.

- Lake Mburo National Park

The activities you can do in this huge forest include bird watching, zip lining, forest nature walks and picnicking in the forest.
- Source of the Nile
The source of the Nile in Jinja is a one day visit, with Jinja about 2 to 3 hours from Uganda’s capital Kampala, you can visit the source of the Nile, explore the point where the Nile starts, spend your day enjoying the scenes at the source of the Nile and the surrounding flora and people activities then after return back to Kampala.
- Equator
The equator line along masaka road, is one you can visit for one day and have spectacular experience as you learn more about the Equator, the North and southern hemispheres, do the equator line experiments- the water direction experiment, the weight experiment, the egg experiment among others. At the Equator you will enjoy dining seated on the Equator line oe in either of the two hemispheres.
- Sezibwa falls
The Sezibwa falls are roughly 1 to 2 hours from the capital Kampala, so you can even visit them on a morning spree and enjoy a hike to the falls, a nature tour in the surrounding forest and a walk through the cultural sites adjacent to the falls. In one day you will explore the falls and exhaust them.
