Top 5 Game Parks in Uganda : Uganda is a land gifted by nature, with a great array of natural features this country is a tourism hub. - Bwindi National Park
Bwindi National Park found is South Western Uganda is a wonder, home to over 400 mountain gorillas, this park is a must visit when you’re in Uganda. The most done tourist activity in the park is mountain gorilla trekking but you can also do other activities like birding, hiking etc. The park is about 9 to 10 hours from Uganda’s capital kampala and 3 to 4 hours from Rwanda’s capital Kigali. A mountain gorilla trekking experience in the park takes you through the park’s terrairins in one the park’s sectors that are Buhoma, Rushaga, Nkuringo and Ruhija.
- Queen Elizabeth National Park
This park is western Uganda is not just famous for its name but it’s also a wildlife wonder. Established in 1952 as Kazinga National Park but later renamed to commemorate the visit of Queen Elizabeth 11. Queen Elizabeth is the most visited park in Uganda, with over 400 animal species living in the park, it’s no wonder, tourists folk the park every year to get a glimpse of the animals in the park. The tourism activities done in the park include game drives, boat rides, nature walks, primate trekking kyambura gorge among others.
- Murchison Falls National Park
The oldest game park in Uganda it harbors on the river banks of the world’s longest river. The park in north western Uganda is about 4 to 5 hours from the Uganda capital Kampala and it gets its name for the Murchison Falls on the River Nile. Murchsion Falls National Park is home to over 500 mammal species and visitors that visit this park enjoy viewing these numerous species and the park flora at large. - Kidepo National Park
This park is the farthest park from the Ugandan capital taking you about 10 to 11 hours to get to the park’s location in northern Uganda. Though getting to this park is long journey, a visit to this park is more that worthy it. This semi-arid park is simply magnificent, a true wilderness and tourist adventure. The tourist activities done in this park are mainly game drives, nature walks and community tours etc.

This is the smallest game park in Uganda and also the nearest to Kampala. It is located in the western Uganda is home to about 50 mammal species. The park is famous for being home to Lake Mburo National park, from which it gets its name and one of the activities done in park is boat rides. Other activities are game drives, nature walks, and horseback riding among others.
