Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park is a park named after the famous Murchison falls that are in the park and is located in northwestern Uganda stretching to the Victoria Nile, Karuma falls and shores of Lake Albert. This park is the largest of all the national parks in Uganda sitting on an area of 3893 sq-km. The park is home to numerous wildlife species including elephants, lions, buffalos, leopards, hippos, kobs, antelopes, impalas, warthogs, etc and bird species including the rare shoe-billed stork. Several activities are done in the park including game drives, boat cruises, sport fishing, recreational activities among other things.

Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park is the most popular and most visited National park in Uganda. The park is located in western Uganda and boasts a variety of wildlife that includes but not limited to the unique tree-climbing lions, African bush elephant, hippopotamus, African Buffalos, Ugandan kob, warthog, forest hog, crocodiles, African leopard, chimpanzees and many more.
It’s also home to several bird species, diverse flora and unique crater lakes that give you a lot to look forward to on your trip to the park. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National park currently has 20 habituated mountain gorilla families in four sectors that are available for trekking every day. The park is located in south western Uganda, about 8 to 9 hours from the Ugandan capital Kampala; the park sectors are Buhoma which is the most visited, Ruhija, Rushaga, and Nkuringo.
The park is also habitat to several Albertine endemic species, bird species, butterfly species and reptiles in its rain forest and montane vegetation. Other primates in the park include the colobus monkeys and blue monkeys.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park located in south western Uganda in close proxy to Bwindi National Park. The park is also home to the endangered mountain gorillas in its biodiverse vegetation that consists of bamboo, montane and subalpine vegetation; it also consists of three volcanoes that a part of the eight virunga massifs making the park part of the Virunga Conservation area. The mountains are Gahinga, Sabinyo, and Muhavura.

Kidepo Valley National Park
Kidepo Valley National Park is popularly known as the wildlife hub with a range of animals staying in the park, visitors to the park are delighted at what they get to experience, animals including Cheetahs, Zebras, caracal, aardwolf, Guenther’s dik-dik, mountain reedbuck, pata monkeys and many more. Kidepo’s diverse vegetation is also home to quite a range of bird species and its one the best birding places in Uganda.

This park located in northeastern Uganda is considered the furthest park from Uganda capital Kampala and Entebbe International airport; so safaris to this park are normally flying safaris however if one is up for the road trip, you travel over 10 hours in 2 days to get to the park.
