Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala to Kitgum
Day 1 of the 5 Days Kidepo Wildlife & Aruu Falls Tour you will set off from Kampala in the morning at 8am heading north to Northern Uganda. This is a long jounery so you will need to pack some snacks for the journey. The good thing about this jounery you get to enjoy a road trip through several Uganda communities and districts, appreciating their beauty and uniqueness.
On this first day you will have a lunch stop in Gulu and your journey will end in Kitgum district where you will arrive in the evening. In Kitgum you will check into your accommodation, you will have dinner and then a night rest.
Day 2: Kidepo National Park
Day 2 of the 5 days Kidepo National Park and Aruu Falls Safari, you will be up early have breakfast and after breakfast you will head to Kidepo National Park. You will arrive in Kidepo in the mid-morning and you will check into your accommodation and then have lunch.
After lunch you will head out to the community to visit the Ike community, interact with them and you get to know more about their traditions and culture. This visit will end in the late afternoon and then you will head back to you accommodation for the rest of the evening at leisure, later dinner and a night rest.
Day 3: Kidepo National Park
Day 3 of the5 Days Kidepo Wildlife & Aruu Falls Tour, you will be up early, have breakfast and after breakfast you will head out to the park for a full day game drive to view the numerous animals that stay in Kidepo National Park that include bit not limited to lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas and many more.
This game drive will take you to almost all corners of the park viewing animals and enjoying the park’s beauty. You will have a packed lunch on this day which you will eat on a break during the game drive.
The game drive will end in the evening and then you will head back to your accommodation, for dinner and a night rest.
Day 4: Aruu Falls and Gulu district
Day 4 of the 5 days Kidepo National Park and Aruu Falls Safari, you will be up early have breakfast, check out of your accommodation and then to Aruu falls via Kigtum. You will be in Pader district at the Aruu falls in the early afternoon and then take hike to falls and have a picnic lunch on one of the falls’ rocks. The Aruu falls experience will take all your afternoon and after you will sign out and continue on your journey. You will now be heading to the Gulu district where you will spend a night and Gulu town is one hour from Aruu Falls.
In Gulu district you will check into your accommodation, have dinner and a night rest.
Day 5: End of Safari and Kampala District
Day 5 of the 5 Days Kidepo National Park and Aruu Falls Safari, you will be up early have breakfast and after breakfast you will head to Uganda’s capital Kampala. You will have lunch en route and you will be in Kampala in the evening. The guide will drop you at a location of your choice in Kampala or in Entebbe.
