Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Volcanoes National park and Iby’wachu cultural tour

Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes: The first day of the 5 Days Volcanoes National Park and Kidepo National Park Safari will start in Rwanda, the tour guide will link up with you at 9am in Kigali city and together you will embark on a journey north of Kigali to Volcanoes National Park. You will arrive in Volcanoes National Park in the early afternoon, check into your accommodation, chill off from the journey and then have lunch.
Iby’wachu cultural tour: In the late afternoon you will then to Iby’wachu cultural village for a cultural tour to explore the unique traditions of the Rwandan people. After this experience you will head back to your accommodation for dinner and a night rest

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking and transfer to Uganda Entebbe International Airport

Mountain gorilla trekking: The second day of the 5 Days Volcanoes National Park and Kidepo National Park Safari, you will be up early, have breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for a mountain gorilla trekking brief. After the brief you will then head into the forest with the trekking rangers to go find the mountain gorillas. The trek will take about 2 hours or more before you find the gorillas and when you find the gorillas you will spend an hour with them before you exit the forest. This whole experience will take about 5 to 6 hours and after the experience, you will head back to your accommodation for lunch.
Transfer to Uganda Entebbe: You will check out of your accommodation after lunch and then head to Kigali International airport where you will catch a flight to Uganda- Entebbe International airport. On arrival in Uganda – Entebbe International Airport, the tour guide will pick you up and take you to your pre- booked accommodation, where you will check in, have dinner and a night rest.

Day 3: Transfer to kidepo National Park – Evening game drive

Transfer to kidepo & Evening game drive : The third day of the 5 Days Volcanoes National Park and Kidepo National Park Safari, you will be up early have breakfast, check out of the accommodation and then to the airstrip to catch a flight to Kidepo National Park. Your flight will get you to Kidepo National Park in the mid-morning, and then you will check into your accommodation, relax from the flight and later have lunch. In the evening you will go for an evening game drive to see some of the animals that stay in the park as they go about their day to day life. The animals you will see include lions, impalas, zebras, leopards, hyenas among others. After you will head back to your accommodation for dinner and a night rest.

Day 4: Morning game drive and Ike community

Morning game drive and Ike community: The fourth day of the 5 Day Volcanoes National Park and Kidepo National Park Safari, you will be up so early at 6am to head out for a morning game drive to see more animals that live in the park. This game drive will give you a chance to see almost all of the animal species that live in the park. The game drive will go on till 12pm and after you will retire to your accommodation, to rest and have lunch. After lunch you will then head to the community for the Ike community experience, where you will get to meet the unique people of Ike, interact with them, take part in some of the people’s traditions as you enjoy time with them. After the community encounter you will then head back to your accommodation for rest of the afternoon at leisure, later you will have dinner and a night rest.

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport: The fifth day of the 5 Day Volcanoes National Park and Kidepo National Park Safari, you will be up early have breakfast and check out of your accommodation. After you will catch a flight to Entebbe International airport. When you arrive in Entebbe, that will be the end of your 5 Day Volcanoes National Park and Kidepo National Park Safari.
