Day 1: Pickup at Entebbe airport and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Following early morning arrival, you will be welcomed by our company representative together with the guide and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have breakfast in Mbarara town and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park; arriving in time for lunch at the lodge and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Enganzi Game Lodge.

Day 2: Game Drive & Launch Cruise – Queen Elizabeth

Go for an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park where you will spot a lot of wildlife including African elephants, buffalos, antelopes, impala, among others and a lot of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast, relax a bit and enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon, go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel inside Queen Elizabeth Park where you will come up close with hippos, crocodiles among other aquatic life and an array of birds on the bay! Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge as above.

Day 3: Explore Ishasha – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy your breakfast and head southwest of Queen Elizabeth national park in search of tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector where on a lucky day, you will be able to spot many of them lounging on trees and enjoying the sun! This part of the park is still virgin and less explored so wildlife is present in big numbers. Enjoy the morning and evening game drives in Ishasha, boosting your game viewing opportunities. Dinner and overnight stay at Ishasha Jungle Lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha

Have breakfast and depart Ishasha for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with lunch en-route in Kabale town, arriving Bwindi late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Have an early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing by the ranger guides before embarking on your gorilla trek. Head into the forest and trek until you find the gorillas. Gorilla trekking can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. After finding the gorillas in Bwindi, you will be allowed only 1 hour and then return. Your driver / guide will drive you back to your hotel to relax, enjoy dinner and spend another night.

Day 6: Next Gorilla Trek

One of the adults that missed out on the previous day’s gorilla trek will now participate in the trek. The procedure is the same as above. The others and the kids can undertake another activity like forest birding or a visit to the Batwa pygmy community. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge as above

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Kabale

Have breakfast and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale known as the Switzerland of Africa! The drive itself is enjoyable with scenic landscapes and misty distant views of the Virunga Mountains. Have lunch and embark on the afternoon boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi visiting different Islands – each with its story! You will enjoy lots of bird watching and learn more about and from the locals. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort.

Day 8: Transfer to Sesse Island

Enjoy early morning breakfast and embark on another scenic drive as you leave Kabale behind and drive past Ntungamo and Mbarara town. Proceed with the drive and have a stopover in Masaka town for lunch. You will then connect on the Bukakata road for a ferry through Lake Victoria to Sesse Island. Dinner and overnight stay at Brovad Sands Lodge.

Day 9: Nature Walk and Sunset Cruise

Enjoy breakfast at leisure and go for a guided nature walk on the beautiful Sesse Island where you will encounter lots of birds and enjoy the tranquil nature. Return to the lodge to relax and have lunch. In the afternoon / evening, you will go for a sunset boat cruise coupled with cold drinks for a real great family time! Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 10: Ferry Crossing & Entebbe Tour

Enjoy breakfast and depart Sesse early for a ferry to Nakiwogo in Entebbe and proceed to the guesthouse to check-in and secure your luggage. Later, embark on a tour of Entebbe town including the local markets and Entebbe Botanical Gardens where they will enjoy walking through with a guide explaining all of the nature and lots of monkeys, spiders, lizards, trees, flowers, herbs and there are bars next to the Lake Victoria where one can get drinks and sit on a sun lounger overlooking Lake Victoria taking in the fresh breezes which is lovely and relaxing. One can even take a dip in the fresh waters of Lake Victoria if they wish!

Have lunch at Botanical gardens and transfer to Imperial Resort Beach for a tour of the caves and a great family time at one of Uganda’s best white sand beaches. You will also get to learn more about the locals as they party!
