Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kigali – Akagera National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional driver guide and then depart to Akagera National Park. Arrive at the park in time for lunch and have lunch at the lodge.
After having lunch, go on an evening game drive where you will be able to spot herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and many more. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive and Boat ride in Akagera NP
Enjoy a morning breakfast at the lodge before embarking on a morning game drive where you will search for the Big five ‘’lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, and rhinos. Other animals to see during the game drive include warthogs, antelopes, bushbucks, kobs, and tops, among others. Enjoy lunch at the lodge.
After having lunch, head out on an afternoon boat ride along Lake Kivu, where you will spot various birdlife and water animal species, among others. Back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning City Tours and Spend the Second Night at Kigali
After having breakfast at the lodge, head on a Kigali city tour where you will visit several tourist sites such as the Genocide memorial site, Inema art Gallery, Ntarama Museum, and Nyamata Church, among others. Afterward, drive back to your booked hotel in Kigali for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Drive from Kigali to Nyungwe Forest
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel, before you transfer to Nyungwe Forest with en-route lunch. Arriving in time for lunch, check into the lodge and have lunch. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Canopy walk and Departure
Wake up and have breakfast before driving to the meeting point for the briefing about canopy walk rules. After briefing, you will be led by the ranger into the forest at the Uwinka Visitor Centre to start Canopy walk that rises 90 meters away from the ground.
The canopy walk provides a gainful view of beautiful nature, birdlife and various primate species. The experience is worth an encounter. After, you will be driven back to Kigali to be dropped at your hotel or at the airport for your flight departure. End of the tour.
