Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe airport – transfer to Kampala
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your reserved hotel in Kampala. It’s a 45 minutes’ drive from Entebbe airport to Kampala. Depending on your time of arrival, you may do a Kampala city tour – visit Ndere cultural center, Uganda Museum, Uganda Independence Monument, Bahai Temple, Gadaffi Mosque. Later evening connect to your reserved accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Forest Cottages
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale national park – Bigodi swamp walk and community tour
After breakfast, you will be picked up by our company representative/ driver who will drive to Kibale national park- the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Arrive early afternoon for lunch in Fort portal town, visit the crater lakes and go for a 2-3 hours nature walk in Bigodi swamp and experience the different birds and primates and also visit the Bigodi community for a cultural experience. Thereafter, drive to check-in your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Isunga Lodge for budget
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking – Queen Elizabeth national park
After breakfast, you will go for chimpanzee trekking with your tracking gears. Meet your guide at the head office then enter the rainforest to start searching for the chimpanzee, this will take 2-5 hours to find the chimpanzees. On seeing them, you will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees while taking pictures.
After tracking, have lunch then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. It’s a 3 hours’ drive. Upon arrival, proceed to your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay Pumba Safari Cottages for budget

Day 4: Game drive – boat cruise
After breakfast, meet your safari guide and connect for a morning game drive in Kasenyi area for animals like the Elephants, Buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs to mention a few, also on a good lucky day you may see the lions, hyenas and leopards. Return for lunch and refresh.
Later afternoon, connect for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will get an opportunity to see a number of bird species, elephants and buffalos, hippos, and crocodiles at the lake shores. After the boat cruise, drive to your booked lodge in Ishasha sector, it’s a 2 hours’ drive. Upon arrival at your lodge, check-in for relaxation dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 5: Transfer Bwindi Impenetrable national park
On the 5th day of your 14 Days Budget Uganda Rwanda and Kenya Safari, Wake up early and connect for a morning game drive in Ishasha for chances of seeing the tree climbing lions and other animals available. Return to the lodge and check-out to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. It’s a 5-6 hours’ drive via Ishasha game to Buhoma sector of Bwindi forest. Connect to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and at Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget
Day 6: Gorilla trekking experience – Batwa community tour
Have an early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing by the ranger guides before embarking on your gorilla trek. Head into the forest and trek until you find the gorillas. Gorilla trekking can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. After finding the gorillas in Bwindi, you will be allowed only 1 hour and then return. Your driver/guide will drive you back to your hotel to relax.
Later afternoon, connect for a Batwa community experience where you will learn about the indigenous people of Uganda who lived the forest before the park was gazette as a national park. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes national park (Rwanda) & Visit Ibyi wacu Cultural Village
After breakfast, embark on your to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda via Cyanika border. It’s a 4-5 hours’ drive with en-route lunch in Musanze town. After lunch connect for a community tour and spend your afternoon visiting the Iby’iwacu cultural village and experience the Rwanda cultural performances, shop the souvenir’s and after return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Hotel Mahubura for budget

Day 8: Golden monkeys trekking – Transfer to Lake Kivu (Gisenyi)
After breakfast, drive to the park head offices and then have a briefing about the golden monkeys and thereafter enter into the park taking the golden monkey tracking trail and on this experience other primates, birds, butterflies will be spotted. After spending 1 hour with the golden monkeys, return to the starting point to meet your safari guide and transfer to Gisenyi which is a 2 hours’ drive from Musanze. Spend your afternoon relaxing at the lake shores and taking a boat trip exploring the islands and communities around the lake that borders Rwanda and Congo. Day 9: Transfer to Kigali – City tour
On the 9th day of your 14 Days Budget Uganda Rwanda and Kenya Safari, After having breakfast, embark on your journey to Kigali. It’s a 3-4 hours’ drive arriving early afternoon, have lunch explore Kigali city visiting the Kigali genocide memorial and Kimoronko market before you are dropped at reserved accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Step Town Motel for budget
Day 10: Fly to Nairobi – Kenya (own flight booking)
After breakfast, you will depart the hotel and transfer to Kigali airport for your morning flight to Jomo Kenyatta international airport in Nairobi. Upon arrival, your Kenya safari guide will meet you at the airport and connect for a Nairobi city – visit the Elephant orphanage and the Karen Blixen museum and the Boma community in Nairobi. Day 11: transfer to Masai Mara via Narok market – evening game drive
After breakfast, embark on your 4-5 hours’ drive to Masai Mara national reserve driving through Narok area where you visit the Masai market and also enjoy a Masai cultural tour. Proceed to enter your park to check-in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Mitimingi Eco-camp – budget
Day 12: Full day Game drive
After your delicious breakfast at your lodge, meet up with your guide and connect for a whole day game drive in the Masai plains with your packed lunch box. Masai Mara is one of the best wildlife destinations in Africa with a variety of animals to see. Including the lions, leopards, cheaters, elephants, buffaloes to mention a few. After your lunch box, the game drive continues till 5 pm when you return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation. Overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 13: Game drive and community tour
On the 13th day of your 14 Days Budget Uganda Rwanda and Kenya Safari, After breakfast, you will head to the plains of the reserve for the final morning game drive sighting more animals, after the game drive you will head back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will head to the Maasai village/Masai Loita Hills for a cultural experience. On this experience you will enjoy getting a deeper insight into the Maasai culture by interacting with the local Maasai people, be entertained by local dancers, drama and Maasai warriors; buy local Maasai items such as local Maasai Shukas, beautifully made accessories such as necklaces and earrings and taste local cuisines. After the experience, you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight at lodge as above
Optional activity; Hot air balloon – Wake early and be picked up by the air balloon team for your hot air balloon safari which starts in the early morning, just in time for sunrise. For about one hour you will be floating peacefully above the ground, with a bird’s eye view of the African bush below. The capacity for this activity is limited making this a very special and exclusive experience. Breakfast will be provided and thereafter connect back to the lodge.
Day 14: Transfer to Nairobi – Departure
