6 Days Gorilla and Chimpanzee Safari highlights Gorilla Tracking and Chimpanzee Trekking in Uganda.

Day 1: Arrival and Hotel Transfer
following arrival at Entebbe airport on, our team will welcome the guests and transfer to the hotel in Kampala where they will unwind and relax a bit. If you arrive on a weekend, we will later take you to Ndere cultural center for an evening full of fun and different cultural performances and lots of food. Enjoy dinner and cultural performances at Ndere center and later return to the lodge for a good night’s sleep.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Have breakfast and transfer to Kibale forest heading west past Mityana town and have a stopover in Fort Portal town for lunch after which you will visit amabere ganyinamwiru – a family owned stalagmites site including caves and a waterfall. You will also go for a nature walk to the crater lakes with impressive views of the Rwenzori Mountain’s foothills. Proceed to Kibale forest arriving in the evening.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking
After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for briefing and proceed for chimpanzee tracking near Kanyanchu. This can take you half a day. There are other primates in the area like the golden monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys and pottos. Other animals include forest elephants unique from the common type, giant forest hogs and a striking tree species. Enjoy Lunch and later go for a guided nature walk to Bigodi wetland, a good site for birders. The Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek can easily be marked among the other 137 bird species. There is also an array of butterfly species.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
enjoy breakfast and set off for Bwindi impenetrable forest – the home of gorillas driving through Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National park famous for tree climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi with lunch en-route arriving in the afternoon.

Day 5: Mountain gorilla tracking
Have early morning breakfast, head to the park office headquarters with packed lunch for a vital briefing prior to trekking the gorillas in the thick impenetrable forest. You get to spend an hour with the gorillas after having trekked for about 2-8 hours. After the trek, you head back to the starting point and receive your gorilla trekking certificate. Transfer back to the lodge and freshen up, later participate in tree planting at Mahogany Springs and a garden tour led by the head chef.

Day 6: Back to Kampala
Enjoy breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route in Mbarara town and a stopover at the equator for photography if you please. Drop off at Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
