3 Days Gorillas & Golden Monkeys
This 3 Days Gorillas & Golden Monkeys exposes you to Rwanda’s mountain gorillas in the wilderness & mist of Volcanoes National Park. The park has several gorilla families which promotes good gorilla tracking experiences in the mist, not forgetting Golden Monkey trekking and birding too.
Day 1: Kigali-Volcanoes National Park
Have breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, or arrive at Kanombe airport and then meet with the guide and go for the city tour, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and then transfer to Musanze and stay at Virunga Safari Lodge/Sabyinyo Silver Back Lodge/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 2: Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Iby’iwacu Cultural Village
After breakfast, transfer to the park offices for a briefing about the mountain gorillas in the mist, and thereafter enter into the jungle to trek the primates and when you meet the gorillas take amazing photos and videos.
After returning to the park office for your gorilla trekking certificate, drive back to your lodge and relax. Spend an evening visiting the Iby’iwacu cultural village and experience the Rwanda cultural performances, shop for souvenirs, and afterward return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking-Departure
Breakfast and then drive again to the park offices and then have a briefing as yesterday and thereafter enter into the park, taking the golden monkey tracking trail and on this experience other primates, birds, and butterflies will be spotted. Lunch and after embark on the safari vehicle and then transfer back to Kigali to your hotel or airport for your return flight with memories of this primate safari.
This is an ideal way to encounter the mountain gorillas without spending so much and in a short time. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda can be combined with other activities to create a longer stay and a much more rewarding safari in Rwanda.
