Foreigners-East Africa Tourists visa
East Africa Tourist visa is a single entry visa for people who visit Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda. The visa is used within the entry point in the three countries.
The visa is a result of a joint initiative the Heads of States of respective partner countries that boost the regions of tourism in order to create opportunities for tourists that explore the diversity of East Africa.
East Africa Tourist visa, it’s the beginning travel from the countries within East Africa, however one starts the journey from the country that has issued the Visa.
Eligible
If a tourist wants to visit the three countries for tourism purposes, the visa must be issued at any diplomatic representative of Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda at the immigration offices of the respective countries in the world, at immigration offices of the countries or if one prefers online application.
The East African Tourist visa is a multiple entry which is valid for 90 days this applies in three countries.
How to apply.
Step 1- fill in the application online for the East African visa one can do it manually or by visiting the website on EATV form 1 online.
Step2-Application must be done prior to the intended date of travel or arrival at the first port of entry into Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
There diplomatic representations of the Republic of Kenya, Republic of Uganda, Republic of Rwanda, located at the immigration offices of the countries or online where applicable.
Kenya: for anyone who wants to go for a trip to Kenya, find the information at the visa consular section of the Kenyan embassy on the website.
Rwanda,
For those who want to travel to Rwanda can apply online on the visa Application system, apply by the Type of Visa you need, select East African Tourist Visa, or contact the local Rwanda Embassy.
Uganda If you travel or begin your trip in Uganda one can find the information at the local Uganda Embassy or the website of the embassy. The East African Tourist Visa is followed by East Africa Tourist visa at a fee of 100USD.
Dependents: If one is applying for a visa, it’s a must to apply using their rightful travel document, which are valid not less than 6 months.

The cost is 100 USD or equivalent.
Validity of visa: 90 days from the date of issue
Work or no Work: Work is not authorized
Visa Extension: The East African Visa cannot be extended.
Mult-entry Single entry: the visa is a single entry visa if one moves out of any East African state it elapses.
Typical Requirements:
Passport size photo with white background taken without glasses, scurfs, caps, attach the photo to the form with glue, clipping and stapling is not advisable.

FOREIGN RESIDENTS
There is a special consideration given to foreign residents who are residing in Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda.
Since they no longer need visas to visit the three countries, they only need to obtain an inter-state pass which is valid for 6 months.
East African Tourist visa, the foreigner requires a valid work permit of valid resident to show the evidence of their residence.
Nationals of the three countries
Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya, use National Identity cards as travel documents within the East African region, the national Identity card came into existence in 2014to enable citizens of one country to spend six months in any of the East Africa.
Students
Students that have nationalities in Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda are able to travel to any East African country using their student Identification cards (IDS) .
