Low Season Gorilla Permits in Uganda: Gorilla trekking permits are legal documents that are issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority to travelers above the age of 15 years, allowing them to visit the habituated mountain gorillas in their natural environment and spend one hour with them.

Please note that during the peak season in the months of June, July, August, September, December, January and February, the gorilla trekking permit price will remain the same at 800 USD per person for foreign nonresidents, 700 USD per person for foreign residents, 500 USD per person for African citizens and 300,000 UGX per person for East African citizens.

There are a number of essential items that you can pack for your gorilla trekking safari in Uganda including Long sleeved shirt and trousers, long socks, a rain jacket, garden gloves, hiking shoes/boots, gaiters, a warm sweater, insect repellent, a hat and sunscreen, a packed lunch and drinking water, a camera and extra batteries, a backpack, a pair of binoculars, and a walking stick, among others.
