2 Days Lake Mburo Safari Overview
Lake Mburo is endowed with other variety of wildlife like lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopard, warthogs, water and bush bucks, activities encountered are the game drive, boat ride and nature / community walks. This 2 days safari rewards a remarkable two days visit to this Savannah park.
Day 1: Kampala-Lake Mburo Safari
Have breakfast, meet our guide and thereafter transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, having a stopover to look at the Royal Drum makers, stand on the Equator and be in both hemispheres at once arriving at the park in the afternoon. Lake Mburo National Park has markedly different fauna to other parks and reserves, and it is the best place in the country to see the gigantic Eland Antelope, as well as Zebra, Topi, Impala, and several Acacia -associated birds.
The five lakes with in the park attract Hippos, Crocodiles, and a variety of water birds, while fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists such as the Sitatunga Antelope and Red, Black and Yellow Papyrus Gonolek. Have an evening boat cruise along Lake Mburo to spot variety of wildlife and birds along the shores of the Lake, Dinner and overnight at Mihingo lodge/Mantana camp/Mburo safari lodge/Rwakobo rock lodge/Arcadia cottages. Day 2: Game drive, Foot safari-Kampala
Early morning your guides will brief you before you head into the dense forest on your search for Zebras, Cape buffalos, Eland Antelopes, Oribi and Topi, Impalas then after enjoy a game drive.
The park is a very good opportunity for bird watchers, who will enjoy more than 250 species of birds, found here, including Papyrus gonolek, Brown-faced lapwings, Caruthers, Cisticola, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-faced Go-away bird.
