3 Days Rwanda Gorillas & Dian Fossey
This 3 Days Rwanda Gorillas safari will give you a short experience of an encounter with the Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda.
Day 1; Arrival & Transfer to Ruhengeri – Volcanoes National Park
On arrival of your 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking safari, you will be met by our company representative and transfer to Ruhengeri – the nearest place to Volcanoes National Park found in the northern province of Rwanda. The journey is a 3 hours drive from Kigali. You will check in into your hotel and then do an optional community tour around Ruhengeri for a Rwanda cultural experience or unwind and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Kinigi Guest House
Day 2; Gorilla Trekking – Volcanoes National Park
On the second day of your 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking safari, you will enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for briefing by the park ranger guides at 7:00am. After briefing, you will start your gorilla trekking journey accompanied by the ranger guides in search of the mountain gorillas.
Gorilla trekking in Rwanda takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas however; the guides will try to find them from where they were last seen the previous day! You will spend 1 hour with these gentle giants and later return to your lodge to refresh and relax as you savour the memories of your trek. Dinner and overnight stay at Kinigi Guest House as above.
Day 3; Dian Fossey Hike & Transfer to Kigali
On the last day of your 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking safari, you will first enjoy early morning breakfast and go for Dian Fossey hike after which you will transfer back to Kigali city where you will do a city tour and visit places like the Museum, Genocide memorials, and the handcraft markets for souvenir shopping. Later proceed to the airport for your onward flight.
