This 4 days Rwanda gorilla safari takes you to volcanoes national park for gorilla trekking in the mist, a visit to Dian Fossey’s graveyard and a Golden Monkey track after.
Day 1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
Have breakfast from your hotel and after meet the guide and embark the safari vehicle and via the Kigali genocide memorial transfer to the Musanze district. Lunch en-route and after transfer to Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/Laplame Hotel/Hotel Muhabura for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: H/B
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking and Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village
Have breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the primates in the mist, and thereafter enter into the jungle to trek the primates and when you meet the gorillas take amazing photos and videos. After return to the park office for your gorilla trekking certificate and then drive back to your lodge and relax. Spend an evening visiting the Iby’iwacu cultural village and experience the Rwanda cultural performances, shop the souvenir’s and after return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B
Day 3: Visit Dian Fossey
Have breakfast and after trek to the Dian Fossey Centre into the volcanoes (Karisoke and Karisimbi mountains) and from this point you will experience her effort towards the conservation of the mountain gorillas from previous to current day. After this full day experience return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight, Meal plan: F/B
Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking – Departure
After breakfast, go back to the park headquarters for briefing about the primates and thereafter enter into the park to track the golden monkey and on this experience other primates, birds, butterflies will be spotted. Lunch and after embark the safari vehicle and then transfer back to Kigali to your hotel or airport for your return flight.
