10 Days Budget Uganda Safari Tour
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park
Youwill be picked up from an agreed location in Kampala or depart from our office and drive to Murchison falls national park. It will take you around 5 hours from Kampala with lunch en-route in Masindi town. You will enter through Kichumbanyobo gate. Paraa covers a distance of about 85km from Masindi town by the shortest route. You will visit the top of the falls and then proceed to Fort Murchison Lodge (Double tent for budget or Cottage for mid-range).

Optional activity: Stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary ($35 per person) E.A residents.
Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise – Murchison Falls
After an early morning breakfast, we shall go for a game drive where you should see various animal species like the elephants, giraffes, Uganda kobs, lions plus more wildlife among others. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch trip to the centerpiece of Murchison Falls National Park, the unique Murchison Falls as well as the River Nile with its streaming hippopotamuses and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks and large numbers of different species getting down to drink on the rive and bathe. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
You will have breakfast and then drive to Kibale. En-route, you will visit the amabere ganyinamwiru stalagmites and waterfalls site in Fort Portal and the crater lakes. Have lunch and proceed to Kibale arriving late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee forest guest house(main house for budget or Private cottage for mid-range).
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking – Kibale forest
Take early morning breakfast and go for briefing and start chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees.
After trekking you will have lunch and then visit Bigodi wetland where you will experience a lot of bird life and unspoilt nature! Later transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. Dinner and overnight at Mweya hostel (budget) or Enganzi game lodge (Mid-range)
Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise – Queen Elizabeth National Park
you will go for early morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector, you may spot various animals like the elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and visit the Katwe salt pans where you will encounter the locals undertaking salt mining.
Have lunch and in the afternoon, go for a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel where you will spot various wildlife like Hippos and crocodiles, the cruise will also enrich you with various birds, most of them on the sandbanks. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi
After having breakfast, you will set off for Bwindi Forest National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park where you may spot some tree climbing lions. You will have lunch en-route, arriving Bwindi in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Tent for budget or Cottage for mid-range).
Note: If you arrive the lodge early, there are a number of optional activities you can undertake including visiting the Batwa people or a village walk.
Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
After an early morning breakfast you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing and go for gorilla trekking.This could take 4-8 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas. After trekking, you will return to the starting point for your gorilla trekking certificate and return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Kabale
Have breakfast at leisure and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale known as the Switzerland of Africa! The drive itself is enjoyable with scenic landscapes and misty distant views of the Virunga Mountains.
Have lunch in Kabale town and proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise to Bushara Island where you will enjoy a rejuvenating nature walk on the forest trail with great bird viewing opportunities! Depart Bushara and return to the loading site and proceed to Bunyonyi Overland Resort just next to the lake for dinner and overnight stay (both budget and mid-range options available)
Day 9: Boat ride and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
You will have breakfast and go for a boat ride on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi – composed of 36 Islands each with its story! You will visit some of the major islands including the Punishment Island, Bushara Island and leper’s Island among others where you will see a good number of birds and learn more about the people.
Later transfer to Lake Mburo national park with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch arriving Lake Mburo late afternoon / early evening. Dinner and overnight at Eagle’s Nest Lodge.

Day 10: Game drive and transfer back Kampala
Enjoy an early morning game drive; the park is home to herds of Impala, as well as the more uncommon Topi, Eland, and Klipspringer. Burchells Zebra and buffalo also graze the area together with the newly introduced Giraffes. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch, then drive back to Kampala and drop-off at your lodge or Entebbe airport for your onward flight.
