3 Days Virunga Park tour is an amazing trip that will see you travel into the thicket in search of the mountain gorillas (Gorilla Trekking). Below are details on this amazing tour that is short but exciting.

3 Days Virunga

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Virunga National Park.

Upon your arrival before 10am at Kigali International Airport on your 3 days virunga trip, you will be met by your driver guide to transfer you to Goma border of Congo where you will check in with the tourism office and get your gorilla trekking permit to be presented at the start of your gorilla trek. Have lunch in Goma then you will then connect to your accommodation for dinner and overnight at Kibumba tented camp /Bukima tented camp/ Mikeno Mist.

Please note that your Rwanda Visa expires immediately you cross into Congo so it is advisable to re apply at the Congo border and find it ready on your return

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Virunga National Park.

After an early morning breakfast at your camp, you will head out to the starting point at Kibumba post. The gorilla trek usually takes about 1 to 2 hours before you meet the gorillas also depending on location of the gorilla group being trekked and the difficulty of the terrain. After meeting the gorillas, you will spend the allotted hour with the gorilla family group.

After that you will 3 days virunga tour you will make your way back to camp, enjoy a late lunch and have the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight as night before at Kibumba tented camp /Bukima tented camp/ Mikeno Mist.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali.

After breakfast at your camp, you will connect with your driver guide to transfer you back to Kigali via the Goma border. Depending on your flight, you may be able to do a short Kigali city tour visiting the Kimironko market and genocide memorial center. You will then connect to the airport for your scheduled flight or be dropped off at your agreed point in Kigali. Like that the 3 days virunga trip will have ended but left an amazing landmark in your life.
